El-mo, part 2

As a follow-up to the last post on Elmo: we went to Busch Gardens over the weekend (we were visiting her crazy auntie who flies through the air in the circus there) and there was a giant tribal Elmo statue at the kids splash pad.  Whoa…

Then! Elmo marched out with Grover and 2 other characters I didn’t recognize.  She was in awe.  Total awe.

We still have the map from the park, and she’ll pick it up and point out the Elmo map marker.  Crazy.

In other media-related news, Kai has discovered that we are able to pull up pictures of anything on our computers (google image search).  She’s been requesting monkeys and cats. Last night, I found a potent combination of her interests in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DIbBqX1z23Y

It’s a video of a baby (check) monkey (check) singing happy birthday (check!).  She watched it about 5 times and clapped at the end of the video every time.  Part of me was amused, and part of me was wondering what have I done???

  1. We’ve done it too. Bee has a playlist on Youtube. No tv in this house but she does get to watch sesame street clips so we can brush her teeth without fighting. Oy. They will have great computer skills by the age of ….2?! Yikes. smile.
